The Okinawa Karate-do Uechi Ryu Zankai Howwood Dojo is dedicated to the practice and preservation of Uechi Kanbun Sensei's original pre World War 2 style as taught to Toyama Seiko Sensei, 10th Dan, who was the last living active student of Uechi Kanbun Sensei (Sensei Toyama sadly passed away April 2009). Having been graded to 4th Dan in Okinawa by Toyama Sensei and given permission from him to open a Dojo here in Scotland it is my intention to teach this system as it was taught to me by my Sensei - Seizan Breyette and by Toyama Sensei. The information I have presented on this website is all I am willing to share or indeed I can safely share via this medium. This system cannot be taught using video or via emails it has to be taught in dojo one-to-one with a qualified instructor/Sensei.
